Mapei Mapegum WPS is a ready-to-use, fast-drying flexible liquid membrane designed for interior waterproofing beneath ceramic and stone finishes in bathrooms, kitchens, and wet rooms.
Mapei Mapegum WPS is a premium liquid waterproofing membrane engineered to provide reliable protection against moisture and dampness on interior surfaces. Supplied ready for use, it forms a continuous, seamless waterproof barrier on surfaces exposed to periodic water contact.
Formulated for fast curing, Mapegum WPS drastically reduces waiting times during installation projects, allowing quick subsequent application of adhesive and tiling. Its high elasticity accommodates minor substrate movement and temperature fluctuations without cracking.
The membrane offers exceptional adhesion across diverse building substrates, including plasterboard, gypsum plaster, cementitious and anhydrite screeds, aerated concrete blocks, wood-based panels like OSB and chipboard, as well as existing ceramic tile and natural stone coverings.
Ideal for moisture-critical interior spaces such as domestic bathrooms, shower areas, and kitchens, Mapegum WPS acts as a core component in wet-area sealing systems, safeguarding walls, floors, and ceilings prior to tile installation.
