The Aqara Presence Sensor FP2 uses advanced millimeter-wave radar technology to provide precise human presence detection even with minimal movement. Supporting multi-person tracking across up to 30 customizable zones, it elevates smart home automation and energy efficiency.
The Aqara Presence Sensor FP2 is a next-generation presence detector utilizing cutting-edge millimeter-wave (mmWave) radar technology. Unlike traditional PIR sensors that require noticeable motion, the FP2 accurately detects stationary human presence and subtle gestures, ensuring that smart home automations run seamlessly without false turn-offs.
Engineered with zone positioning capabilities, the FP2 can monitor a wide coverage area of up to 40 m² with a single sensor. Users can divide the monitored space into up to 30 independent zones, such as a sofa, dining table, or desk, enabling individual automation routines tailored to specific parts of the room.
Featuring advanced multi-target tracking, the sensor can monitor up to five individuals simultaneously. It recognizes user locations across different designated zones, allowing intelligent lighting adjustments such as turning on lights in an active section while dimming lights in vacant areas.
Beyond everyday motion detection, the FP2 offers specialized monitoring modes including fall detection and single-person sleep tracking. These safety and health tracking capabilities allow real-time alerts without relying on privacy-invasive cameras or wearable devices.
An integrated ambient light sensor measures illumination levels to ensure lights and appliances activate only when necessary. Operating over a direct Wi-Fi connection, the FP2 eliminates the need for an external smart home hub, simplifying installation and network integration.
